I found this book pretty ho-hum and definitely not worth staying up for (I usually can't put down a good book and often read well into the wee hours). It was hard to feel any kind of bond with the characters, so I wound up skimming through the last third of the book.
It was awfully tempting to join in on the chocolate indulgencies alongside the four very interesting women who are the main characters in this story. They each have unique stories that aren't totally comedic.
Another fun confection (pardon the pun, I just couldn't help it after vicariously consuming all that chocolate!) from Carole Matthews, The Chocolate Lover's Club is really the story of several very likeable 30-something women who share their trials and tribulations around a table in a posh chocolate emporium.
I did not like this book at all. I found it very hard to stay interested.
This was the best book I read since Bridget Jones. I am in the process of reading The Chocolate Lover's Diet.
I have never taken the time to write a review here, but I think this book deserves more credit and more popularity! I also rarely run out and buy a book in hardback so I was alittle hesitant, but I've discovered that this book has been a real treat.
I really enjoyed this book. The four main characters are all really different, and they each have their own individual stories to tell.
Lucy Lombard is addicted to one thing, chocolate. Her craving can come in any shape or form as long as it is chocolate.
This book is fantastic. At first I thought, "Oh, no, not another cheesy tale about the lives of four friends who just happen to love chocolate.
If you're a lover of "chick-lit", epsecially by British authors, you won't be disappointed. This is a great read.

Since the last book I read was so scholarly and such...I figured time for something light and fluffy.
