Terrific! But I need to know what's happening with the characters now?
Very boring book. worst of the 3 by far.
As promised.
The first two books were extremely engaging and although a combination science fiction and alternate history, you could relate to the characters and the storylines. It was easy to visualize the characters and even place yourself looking through their eyes.
Grant you I did not finish the book I read the first 150 pages. It was so slow...
I eagerly awaited the release of this book, the 3rd in this series, but unfortunately the opportunity to purchase it and read it came too quickly for my liking as the anticipation of obtaining the book and thereafter reading it was more exciting than having paid for it, actually reading it, and realising that you most likely spent too much for what you get. Books 1 & 2 were absolutely riviting and I could not put either tome down until they were finished.
I've now read all three books in the series. Overall, I think Without Warning, the first one, is the strongest.
I very much enjoyed reading this novel. As a fan of Birmingham's, I had of course read the first two books of this trilogy.
I enjoy reading books of this genre, about war and the men and women who fight in them. The author has done a lot of research and I learned a lot of the time and the people from his writing.
"Angels of Vengeance", by John Birmingham, is the third in a series of related books. I read it as a stand alone since I have not read earlier books by Birmingham.
I have to say Mr. Birmingham can write an exciting tale.
Was disappointed with this book, which is the third in the series. The first book was the best.
Part three of many to come?Good fast read and as usual you are left hanging and waiting for the next.
This is the third and final installment in John Birmingham's trilogy that started with WITHOUT WARNING and continued with AFTER AMERICA. If you have not read those two yet, please do so, and in that order.
I loved the first three books, I liked the first book in this series, less so the second, and this one has been phoned in while sipping the odd brew or throwing another kangaroo on the barbie. This guy s a really talented writer - too bad he has stopped working at it.
